Ø To identify, process and disseminate new technologies for Agriculture, Industry and other sectors.

Ø To advise the State Govt. on policy issues related to Science & Technology.

Ø To provide effective linkages of State Govt. Deptts. with R&D institutions, laboratories, universities and various central Govt. departments.

Ø The Department of Science & Technology (DST) functions through two of its agencies namely:

a) Haryana State Council For Science & Technology (HSCST); and

b) Haryana Space Application Centre (HARSAC).
